Longines 280, 281, 284 Mainspring
Genuine Generale Ressorts Swiss-made replacement mainspring for Longines 280, 281, 282, 283, 284 and 285 manual-wind movements.
The Longines 280-series movements were used in a variety of high-quality vintage Longines watches. These movements are well regarded for their traditional construction and serviceability, and many remain in regular use today.
If you’re servicing a vintage Longines 280-series movement, you might find that some dusty old Longines NOS mainsprings are available. But if you're going to take the trouble to service a great vintage Longines watch it's best to use a modern, quality mainspring like these products by Generale Ressorts of Switzerland.
What mainspring replacement do I need for my Longines 280?
Some Longines 280-series movements were produced with different mainspring and barrel configurations. The Longines 280, 281 and 284 may use either a conventional mainspring or a T-end mainspring. Inspect the original mainspring and barrel, and ensure you select the correct type when ordering. For movements requiring the T-end configuration, select the GR2673T. For movements requiring a non-T-End mainspring, order the GT2673.
